Mark Jason Banham

1962 - 2022

Maurice Huggett brought the West End theatre crowd together as the host and proprietor of the Phoenix Artist Club on Charing Cross Road. A flamboyant figure renowned for his collection of gaudy waistcoats, Huggett created a retreat for performers, producers, programme makers and programme sellers amid the clamour of nightly theatrical life.
This is the Red Ribbon Fund established by our beloved son, Max Balladino. During his brief existence he always believed in the real values of life. It was one of his last wishes to give concrete help to this cause which was so close to his heart. It was because of this that he chose to leave a generous legacy gift to Terrence Higgins Trust.
Mel passed away unexpectedly on 12th July 2009. She will be greatly missed by all her friends (many of whom are members of the gay community) and family. Mel was unique in her love for people and animals which knew no boundaries. All who knew her miss her desperately. Mel leaves behind husband Joel, her son Gavin, sister Primrose and her family.
London's HIV sector, and especially Terrence Higgins Trust and Lighthouse, has lost one of its most loved and charismatic personalities with the death of Michael Edwards. Michael was the friendly face of the charity working behind the reception desk at Lighthouse.
This Red Ribbon Fund is in memory of Michael Fittock and was set up by his mother, Maureen Fittock. Michael died on June 23 1993. His friend Dennis wrote this obituary. "Mike passed through to the other side peacefully and painlessly in the presence of his mother and father in Brentwood, Essex, England.

Probably the most unique person we have ever met. We all claim to be unique but Paul had his own "code of conduct" that nobody else could really fully understand. He was obstinate & annoying but generous & flamboyant at the same time.
